Jessica Brookshire, Manager of Work Life in Human Resources, updated the council on the benefits provided to all employees to help them balance their work with their personal lives.  She started by directing everyone to the WorkLife website on the Human Resources home page where all of the information can be found.  She also reminded everyone of the WorkLife@ND newsletter that is available each month via e-mail as well as paper copies.

The primary focus of Jessica's presentation was our new employee assistance program (EAP) provider, Life Works. She showed that all employees and their families may contact Life Works via phone or online.  They are staffed 24 hours a day with Masters degree level experts who will assist our employees with any questions or issues they have in their personal lives, ranging from child care, elder care, legal, financial, work relationships, and more.  All calls are completely anonymous and free.

Life Works also provides free materials to ND employees and families in the form of books, brochures, CD's, etc.

Anyone who needs more information about the programs offered to them to help balance their work and personal lives should contact Jessica Brookshire at 631-5829.
