Staff Advisory Council Minutes

I. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 1:05 p.m. by Patty Smith.
II. Maureen Wildey, Benefit Program Manager, HR presented an FMLA overview to the committee.
III Approval of the March 14, 2013 Council Minutes- Motion to approve 1st- Marie Revak, 2nd by Amanda Huerta
IV Committee Updates and description of assignment for new members:
Benefits Committee
Nothing to report
Parking Appeals
Grad Student has been appointed as a new member to the appeals committee. Joe Negri inquired if anyone had seen any communication about the parking fine increases. Patty informed the group that she had contacted Les Niebalski and he informed her it was not NDSP’s policy to publicize parking rates.
Promotions Committee
Marie Revak reported 415 books had been collected and would be distributed to El Campito and the Robinson Learning Center.
Members were invited to participate in Relay For Life if there was interest.

Additional Business
Patty inquired about attendance for the July meeting. She will be absent but based on the group’s response the meeting will be held as scheduled.
