IV. Additional Business

Lafortune Renovation: The remaining SAC meetings in 2006 will be held in room 234 Grace Hall.

Vacation Accrual:  A question was asked about whether an employee needs to use all of their banked vacation time by December 31, 2006?  The answer is that they do not, but if they max out their accrual, they will not continue to accrue vacation days until they use some.

Personal Days: A question was asked about the schedule for using personal days (is it January to December or July to June?).  The answer is that you can use them between January and December each year.

Job Interviews: A question was asked about why employees do not always get an interview for internal positions?  The answer is that supervisors and HR recruiters review all applicants and interview the candidates who are most qualified.

Golf Carts: There is a complaint about golf carts driving fast and reckless on campus.  A letter from SAC will be sent to security addressing this point.

Linnie Caye: Linnie Caye will be leaving the Multicultural Student Programs and going to the college of arts and letters genders studies.  Because she will be leaving district 25, she will no longer be a member of SAC.

V. Adjournment

With no further topics to discuss, George Young made a motion to adjourn.  The motion was seconded by Linnie Caye and passed.  The meeting adjourned at 2:58 p.m.
