I. Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 1:02 p.m. by Patty Smith

Promotions Committee :
A draft of a flyer to promote United Way’s compassion fund to the campus was distributed to SAC members for feedback. The idea was discussed and Jessica Brookshire will be contacted to review final draft before distribution.

Elections are coming up for even and unrepresented districts. More to come.
III. New Business
Denise Murphy, Director of Compensation & Benefits, attended SAC. Denise outlined some information regarding the upcoming Open Enrollment period. Denise thanked Diana Singleton for her participation on the Benefits Committee. Denise explained the healthy campus initiatives that were taking place and reviewed the premium costs/changes for 2011. She explained that the total cost of ND’s medical plans in a 10 year period escalated from 21 million to 58 million. Denise encouraged employees to participate in the health screening and then take the HQ survey. She also talked about the new ND Wellness Center that will open in late summer, 2012. Denise responded to several questions regarding benefits, retirement, and the wellness center.
John Affleck Graves, Executive Vice President, attended SAC to speak to members and answer questions. Dr. Affleck Graves expressed his desire to have an open dialogue about whatever the members wanted to discuss. The comments and questions revolved around several issues including football tickets, employee compensation, the early retirement incentive program, Catholic teaching and health care issues, and maternity leave.
