April began her journey at Notre Dame in March 2009 and has dedicated all her years to Campus Dining. She began as the Bookkeeper and Customer Service Specialist for Vending and Office Refreshment Services. Transitioning in 2016, she joined the Sourcing and Sustainability Team as a Sourcing Assistant, and in January 2020, she assumed her current role as the Senior Administrative Assistant for Campus Dining. In this capacity, she provides crucial support to the Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team.

In May 2023, April graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associate Degree in Business Administration through the Ivy Tech Learning at Work Program and aspires to pursue her Bachelor's Degree next. Elkhart has been April's lifelong home, where she currently resides with her husband, Andy, their teenage son, John, and their Newfoundland Mix, Luna. During her free time, April finds joy in attending concerts, camping, outdoor adventures, and indulging in her guilty pleasure of video games.
