Why Get Involved?

Being a part of SAC is more than just a role; it's an opportunity to:

• Engage Directly with University Administration: Help relay the concerns, suggestions, and feedback of staff to the people who can make a difference.
• Advocate for Change: Contribute to discussions on important issues like benefits, parking, and workplace policies, ensuring the staff's needs and ideas are heard.
• Build a Stronger Community: Work alongside colleagues from across the campus to foster a more inclusive, supportive, and engaged Notre Dame.

How to Get Involved

Staff Advisory Council elections will take place at the end of November of every year for districts whose representative’s term is expiring. Members serve a two-year term running January through December and may self-nominate for one additional term for a total of four years. Non-exempt staff are encouraged to contact a member on the Executive Committee, or contact their district representative, to let them know they are interested in serving on the Council. Please refer to the bylaws for more information.

Eligibility Requirements

• Completion of at least twelve months of employment at Notre Dame
• Be a regular full-time or part-time, non-exempt Notre Dame employee
• Shall obtain permission from supervisor to participate fully in SAC meetings and activities
• Must be available to attend all regularly scheduled SAC meetings held once a month
